Slalom Courses

We utilize the public waters of the Nueces River from Labonte Park downriver about 6 miles.

We maintain two permanent slalom courses, the Shallow Course and the Main Course.  The former is oriented north-south, and the latter is oriented northeast-southwest.  Usually, we have skiable conditions in one or the other.

We have very little boat traffic, normally only a passing fisherman or waverunner.  If you have tried to ski in more populous areas, you may find our site too good to be true...others have.

CAUTION:  Dangerously-shallow spots exist in the river, especially in low tide conditions.  Also, as a general caution for shallow coastal waters in the vicinity, see VIBRIO warning below. First aid for shallow cuts and scrapes is 10% Clorox solution (must be refreshed weekly)
